Lagos: impounded and crushed motorcycles of traffic laws offenders.
482 Motorcycles seized for not complying with the various traffic laws in Lagos state, were crushed by the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday 20 November 2021. The crushing exercise which took place at the Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja was to counter the insinuations that the motorbikes are being sold and possibly recycled according to the commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu.
Obumosu warned, there will be consequences for any motorcycle operator who plies the restricted areas and who failed to comply with traffic regulations. He said the police will enforce the law and so the motorbike operator should obey traffic laws. The crushing exercise will be ongoing, to discourage motorcycle operators from frequently failing to comply with traffic laws.
